Cancellation & Refund Policy

At Em & Co. Events, each event is custom-designed and prepared in advance. Due to the time, materials, and scheduling involved, the following policy is in place to protect both our team and our clients. 


  • Booking & Retainer


  A non-refundable retainer of [50%] is required to secure your event date.
Your event date is not guaranteed until this payment is received.

This retainer covers initial planning, design time, and scheduling, and is non-refundable under all circumstances.


  • Cancellations

 

  Cancellations must be submitted via email.

• Cancellations made 14+ days before the event:
Any payments made beyond the non-refundable retainer may be applied as a credit toward a future event within 60 days.

• Cancellations made within 14 days of the event:
All payments made are non-refundable due to preparation, material purchasing, and scheduling commitments.


  •  Rescheduling 

   

  We understand that plans can change.

• One reschedule is permitted if requested at least 7 days in advance, subject to availability.
• Rescheduling requests made within 7 days of the event may incur a rescheduling fee.
• New date must be within 60 days of the original event.


  •  Event Date Changes / Client Delays 

 

  Clients are responsible for providing accurate event timing.

If setup is delayed due to client or venue issues:
• Setup time may be shortened
• Additional fees may apply


  •  Weather Policy (Outdoor Events) 

 

  The client is responsible for providing a suitable backup plan
• If severe weather prevents setup, we will offer:
– Rescheduling (based on availability), OR
– Credit toward a future event

Refunds are not provided due to weather conditions.


  •  Setup & Breakdown 


• Setup is completed before the scheduled event time
• Breakdown will occur same-day or next-day, depending on agreement
• Clients are responsible for ensuring access for both setup and breakdown

Failure to provide access may result in additional fees.


  •  Damages & Missing Items 


  Clients are responsible for all rented items during the event.

• Damaged, missing, or stolen items will be billed accordingly
• Final payment method may be charged if necessary


  •  Refunds 


  Due to the custom nature of our services:

• No refunds will be issued once services have been rendered
• No refunds for unused portions of services
• No refunds for cancellations within 14 days of the event
